CERTIFICATION
Metal Bernard Inc. has been certified ISO compliant since August 1999. At that time the ISO 9002 standard was the industry precedent. Since that time the business has evolved at an astounding speed, and we have updated our certification to ISO 9001 version 2008. This new mark is a more practical version of quality certification implementation. The goal is to have an excellent quality system and to have our actions reflected through simple and efficient procedures.

Lean Manufacturing (Value-Added Production) Certification Program by AMETVS
 The Metal Bernard Inc. team is proud to have been one of the pioneers of value-added production (Lean Manufacturing) in our field of business. We count on all our personnel and our full time industrial engineering technician to minimize and reduce wastage. To validate our Lean Manufacturing approach, we have been certified by external auditors.
The Special Vehicle and Transportation Equipments Association – AMETVS and the large prime manufacturers have, in coordination with the Ministry of Economic Development, Innovation and Exportation (MDEIE), put in place a Lean Manufacturing Certification program for transport equipment industry suppliers.
This initiative, that follows the implementation of the ISO standard within the industry, was first presented in 2001 and was officially launched in February 2004. The Lean Manufacturing-AMETVS Certification program is the fruit of three years of research that evaluated the needs of the industry and the analysis of 18 existing certifications, and takes into account market trends and future demand. Addressing all elements of the supply chain, the program also centers on the capability of suppliers to respond to the global demands of their clients.
Lean Manufacturing-AMETVS certification is based on an evaluation questionnaire comprised of more than 173 questions that shape a portrait of the entirety of a company’s activities. Metal Bernard is certified Gold, the highest level attainable.
Lean Manufacturing-AMETVS certification is today officially recognized by those in the business as the preferred standard for contract allocation.
